Hurghada Once a sleepy fishing and oil extraction village, Hurghada has become during the past few years one of the most vibrant, lively and busy beachside resort towns of the Red Sea. Divided into 2 districts of El Dahar and Sekala, Hurghada has something interesting for everybody. El Dahar, the old town, with its souks, fishermen joint and local shops, gives a taste of real Egyptian life and excellent shopping and local artifacts. Sekala, the tourist area born around the old harbour, and its extended tourism district is a hive of action with some 20km of hotels, shops, restaurants, shopping centres, clubs, cinema – a vibrant holiday hub where everything is open until very late at nite. Day trips from the ferry terminal to Sharm El Sheikh take approx. 90 minutes. |

El Gouna, The Venice of the Red Sea, a very cosmopolitan resort, 10 minute drive north along the coast road. The resort centres around a stunning mariner with shops, boutiques, resturants, and an excellent golf course. Getting Around Minibuses – Normally have specific routes and you can hail them simply anywhere along the route. Minibuses are extremely cheap, with a ride costing as little as 25 piastres. Taxis – Collective service taxis are one of the best features of egyptian transport. They operate in a wide variety of routes. Agree a price before you use the taxi. You can expect to pay 15 Egyptian pounds to travel to the centre of Hurghada. Car Rentals – International companies operate in the Red Sea towns. An international driving license is required and you must be 25 years of age. You also need to be very brave !!! |

Sultana Beach is 150m from the apartments and Palma Beach is 5 mins walk. Clients at our apartment also have use of the private beach and facilities of the Palma Beach Hotel which is approx 15 mins walk from the apartment. Passports/Visas All nationalities, except for Italian and German need a passport with MINIMUM 6 months validity.
